Caramel Apple Nachos
Yield: 1-2 servings
This fun twist on nachos delivers the flavor and crunch of a caramel apple, but in finger-food form. A hit with adults and kids alike! Measurements are given, but you may absolutely eyeball the ingredients if preferred.

Ingredients

  • 1 large or 2 small apples, cored and cut into thin wedges
  • 1½ – 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1½ – 2 tablespoons caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons granola
  • Optional: mini chocolate chips or holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a small, microwave-safe bowl, melt the peanut butter. (In my microwave, I heat for 20 seconds on full power, stir, and then cook for 20 seconds more to achieve a good drizzling consistency.) Similarly, warm the caramel sauce in a separate small bowl if it is cold; this likely won’t take as long.
Place the sliced apples on a plate. Use a small spoon to drizzle the peanut butter all over the apple slices, and then sprinkle the granola evenly overtop. Finish by drizzling the caramel sauce over all, adding chocolate chips or a light dusting of festive sprinkles, if desired. Enjoy!
