Sunshine Smoothie
On occasion, I add 1/2 teaspoon or so of grated ginger to the mango-peach mixture. After I made this with the watermelon for the first time, I was thinking it would be fun to freeze the fruit and make an orange layer, then a red layer!

Ingredients

  • 1 peach, sliced or about 1 cup frozen slices
  • 1 mango, peeled and diced or 1 heaping cup frozen chunks
  • 1/2 cup Chobani 2% plain yogurt (could substitute vanilla, honey, peach, or mango)
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • dash or two of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey (see note)
  • 2 cups fresh watermelon, seeded and chopped

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients except the watermelon in a blender. Cover and puree until smooth. Add a little extra orange juice if you prefer a thinner smoothie.
  2. Pour into two glasses.
  3. Add watermelon to the blender and puree. Pour over the mango-peach mixture in each glass and enjoy!

Notes

  • I find when I use frozen fruit, it is not quite as sweet as fresh. Depending on what you are using and how sweet you like your smoothie, you may add the honey to suit your taste.
  • If using frozen peaches and frozen mango, you may need to add a bit more juice.
