Ann loves every recipe she publishes, and as you all know, she puts her heart and soul into every dish. She tests, re-tests, and makes each recipe countless times with various options to make sure it’s the best combination of flavors without too much fuss.
So while all the recipes are all pretty special, some inevitably rise to the top. Based on reader feedback, following are the top 10 recipes of 2025, with #1 being most popular. How many have you made?
#10 Salmon (or Chicken) Caesar Wraps
This Classic Kale Caesar Salad can be mixed with the dressing and stay fresh, without wilting, in the fridge for days. And while the leftover salad has merits for sure, sometimes you may want a little more oomph. Ann likes to mix in a can of salmon (or leftover chicken) and stuff the salad in a wrap for a handheld meal. A few croutons are great for crunch. Readers have loved the Caesar salad wraps, have tried other add-ins such as chickpeas, and have even experimented with other yummy tinned fish!

#9 Bruschetta Chicken
Readers loved that this simple preparation yielded lots of fresh summer flavor. The highlight is the no-cook topping made with vine-ripened tomatoes, a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, and fresh basil. It’s then finished with balsamic glaze and a sprinkle of Parmesan. If you’d like to reproduce bruschetta chicken in the colder months, Ann recommends using the sweet cherry tomatoes on the vine (like Sugar Bombs) that are available year-round and taste pretty great!

#8 Southwestern Turkey Chili
Wholesome comfort food at its best! As with traditional chili, toppings allow diners to customize their bowl to taste. I love cheese, crumbled tortilla chips, and often chopped avocado and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro or sliced scallions. One reader commented, “This chili recipe has become a family favorite. It is frequently requested so I make it with chicken now too.”

#7 Toll House Pie
Readers call this “the ultimate love letter to classic comfort food! The gooey chocolate-chip filling and buttery crust strike the perfect balance between cookie and pie—nostalgic yet fresh.” For a twist, Derby Pie includes a small amount of bourbon. The added flavor is subtle and makes it the perfect choice to serve while watching the Kentucky Derby!

#6 Stuffed Acorn Squash
One reader commented, “It’s amazing how something so humble can feel so comforting.” Wholesome and hearty stuffed acorn squash is an all-in-one meal that’s bursting with savory flavor. It even comes with an edible bowl!

#5 Chickpea Curry with Sweet Potatoes
Chickpeas and a hearty dose of veggies are bathed in a warmly spiced, creamy sauce for a flexible, filling, plant-based meal. Reader comments include “this dish was absolutely wonderful,” “loved it,” and “definitely will make again.”

#4 Homemade Sausage
This recipe produces all the classic sausage flavor without the processing. Use ground pork, turkey thigh, or chicken and enjoy it in all your favorite recipes that call for sausage (especially #1 below!). An older recipe that is extremely popular with our regular readers is Homemade Breakfast Sausage Patties, which can be made ahead of time and frozen in single servings for any time a breakfast meat craving comes along. Readers say, “This is a real winner,” and “I’ve made this recipe numerous times. Game changer for me!”

#3 Jeweled Salad
Made colorful by the juicy bites of pomegranate seeds, this salad is absolutely stunning. Technically published at the very end of 2024, it’s on our 2025 list because it’s only gotten more and more popular as the year has gone on. Even Emily’s dad, who generally is not a salad guy, takes a second helping when this is offered on her holiday table. One reader mentioned she “has made this salad 3x in the last 7 days” and another said “everyone raved about the delicious combination of ingredients.” Perfect for holidays and weeknight dinners alike, and while pomegranates are one of the crown jewels in this salad, in a pinch, you can substitute dried cranberries.

#2 Pepper Jack Tomato Soup
This soup generated many comments, texts, and emails full of glowing feedback. It’s so tasty and perfect for a cold winter’s night. One reader commented, “This will be our go-to soup for Fridays in Lent this year!” Another said, “This recipe was so easy to make and the leftovers were just as good. The rich creamy texture was delicious.” The bright tomato flavor is sure to be a huge hit in your house this year too!

#1 Pasta With Escarole, Sausage, and Beans
A well-deserved #1 spot, our readers got really excited about this recipe, and for good reason. One reader said it best: “Your greens and beans pasta is a HUGE hit in our house. I didn’t expect everyone to like it but it’s the second time in two weeks we’ve made it and everyone has had seconds!” It’s a take on a classic Tuscan dish that is equal parts delicious, nutritious, and comforting. Adding pasta and sausage to the timeless pairing bolsters the dish with family friendly appeal. Enjoy!
